Full-face masks are designed for surface snorkeling use only, and users must always exit the water immediately if they experience dizziness, shortness of breath, or any distress.

  • Traditional: Designed for it. You can equalize the pressure in your ears by pinching your nose through the mask skirt, and you can freely dive below the surface.
  • Full-Face: Not designed for diving, freediving, or scuba use. You cannot equalize your ears by pinching your nose. Submerging the top of the snorkel will cause the mask to flood. They are intended for recreational snorkeling at the water surface.
